Favorite Leadership Quotes

So in my unemployed spared time I was thinking of my favorite leadership quotes. I keep a list of them in the back of my planner and read them whenever I need a little inspiration (like when writing cover letters!). My list needs updating and I'm curious to know what your favorites are?! Here are some of mine, but please post some of your favorites too!

"When you cease to make a contribution, you being to die." Eleanor Roosevelt

"We have to earn our wings everyday." Frank Borman

"To whom much is given, much is expected."

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us." Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Nobody got anywhere in the world by simply being content." Louis L'Amour

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt

"So the point is not to become a leader. The point is to become yourself completely- all your skills, gifts, and energies- in order to make your vision manifest. You must, in sum, become the person you started out to be and enjoy the process of becoming." Warren Bennis

"You win with people first." Woody Hayes

and of course "Live with a healthy disregard for the impossible!" LeaderShape

I have a quote that is sort of about leadership, but mostly about bad leadership:

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it--always."
Gandhi

I don't know. I really like it. Makes me feel better about the current state of things in the world.
